The Parsons Avenue Merchants Association was formed in 1986 as a nonprofit corporation. It serves the businesses on and around Parsons Avenue from Livingston Avenue to Rathmell Road in the following ways:

• To promote improvement of the business environment.
• To promote revitalization of the business properties and to encourage new construction.
• To educate the public about the businesses within this jurisdiction.
• To provide information to the businesses which may help to solve common business problems.

PAMA is led by an executive board whose officers are elected annually, and a board of trustees whose members serve two-year terms. Elections are held the first Thursday of January.

Regular monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at Plank's Cafe and Pizzeria at 12:00 p.m.
